With all the weather warnings, it wasn’t much of a surprise to get into work and see white fields all around us!
Things about plastic you may not know!

The most common plastic is polyethylene and can be found in things we use every day - grocery bags & bottles.

Although plastics don't easily biodegrade, some plastics "photodegrade" - where sunlight breaks the bonds in the polymers.

Plastic drinking bottles are recycled into duvet fillings, insulation materials, compost bins, park benches and much more!

A recycled product can go through the whole recycling and production process and be back on the shelf within a month as a new product.

The most easily recycled plastics are PET and HDPE, followed by PVC and low-density polyethylene. Plastic can be good!

You can get a discount on your drink at various coffee shops on the high street if you take a reusable cup - up to 50p!

Plastic bags have been part of our everyday lives since their introduction in 1941. The UK now use 86% less since the 2014 levy.

Every year enough plastic is thrown away to circle the earth 4 TIMES! We should all do our bit to Reduce, Reuse & Recycle
